Sappho: A Lesbo(s) Play
Written by Tasha Dowd

Sappho is the It Girl - a poet, minor genius, and she has plenty of students to prove it - some of which she knows a bit too well. But whilst she tries to ignore her own failing mental health and the Four Philosophers that live in her head to prove her failings, she cannot ignore the growing disdain the island has for her family, in particular her brothers, and the oddity she’s become as a well off, single and childless woman.
What will become of her when she’s threatened with exile, and what becomes of her students when she is? Better yet, who will fall apart, and who will rise from the ashes of what she’s slowly becoming?

From "promising new writer" (The Stage) Tasha Dowd, Sappho: A Lesbo(s) Play is an exploration of expectation and what can be learned when your sense of self is questioned.
