Confessions of a Faggot is a piece of verbatim performance art combining the anonymous confessions of the global queer community with a chamber ensemble of orchestral musicians fusing classical and baroque music with modern pop and disco.

The piece has been curated into eight chapters connected by theme or location into narrative clusters, variations on a theme, and epistolic bursts that are delivered by one actor, whilst a second interacts and responds to a video installation curated alongside the text, both supported by an electro-classical score that riffs on Bach, Madonna, Rachmaninoff and Charli XCX.

Confessions was originally workshopped at Leeds Conservatoire before undergoing an R&D at Leeds Playhouse.
